Spots & Stripes addresses the particular needs of tween/teen skin and hair: shampoos that will deal with greasy roots, washes and deodorants for when they get sweaty, a cleansing lotion for delicate, but hormonal, skin and a spot zapper for the odd breakout.

All products are formulated to be safe and gentle on tween/teen skin, but still have the effectiveness this age group needs, because they are high performance and full of clever ingredients. 100% natural, 0% nasties and baddies, and made in England.

Charlotte-Anne Fidler

Founder / Spots & Stripes

Charlotte Fidler is a former Vogue Beauty Editor and Creative Director with a 20-year career in magazines including ELLE, US Glamour, and UK Glamour, who founded Spots & Stripes after struggling to find safe, effective products for her 11-year-old daughter’s changing skin. Drawing on her Oxford education in Philosophy and Theology and extensive beauty industry expertise, Charlotte spent three years developing an award-winning, earth-friendly tween/teen skincare and haircare line that bridges the gap between gentle baby products and harsh adult formulations. As a solo founder, she has grown the brand to £1.8 million turnover in 2025 with 48% customer retention, securing features in Vogue, The Guardian, and This Morning while achieving profitability since launch with a 13% EBITDA in 2023.

Problem we solve

Children’s skin, hair and bodies start changing at about 8-10 (it can be baby-perfect skin and hair, to spots, sweat and greasiness overnight!). But there is almost nothing to bridge the gap between overly-gentle baby/young child products and teen-acne/adult products that are way too harsh for their still delicate skin.

Our solution

Fun-looking products that are safe and gentle on tween/teen skin, but still have the high performance, effectiveness this age needs. Gentle cleansers for changing skin; sulphate-free shampoos and washes that clean without drying or irritating; a completely natural deodorant that actually works.
