Modern Slavery Policy

Growth Studio – Financial Year 2024-2025

Introduction

Growth Studio is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business and supply chain. We fully support the principles outlined in the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and take our responsibility seriously to ensure ethical practices across our operations.

Our Business

Growth Studio is a UK-based accelerator that helps startups and corporates drive innovation and sustainability. While we do not have complex supply chains, we recognise our responsibility to uphold human rights in our business partnerships, procurement processes, and investment practices.

Our Approach to Modern Slavery Prevention

We are committed to taking proactive steps to prevent any form of forced labour, human trafficking, or exploitation within our organisation and supply chain. Our approach includes:

  • Due Diligence: We conduct assessments of our suppliers and partners to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect our suppliers and partners to uphold high ethical standards and will not work with businesses that fail to meet legal and moral obligations.
  • Staff Awareness & Training: We provide guidance to our employees to help them recognise and report any concerns related to modern slavery.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage employees, contractors, and third parties to report any suspected unethical or illegal practices in confidence.

Risk Assessment & Accountability

As an accelerator working closely with startups and corporates, we assess potential risks of modern slavery within our partnerships and procurement processes. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that fails to comply with anti-slavery laws.

Future Steps

Growth Studio is committed to continuously improving our approach to tackling modern slavery. Over the next year, we will:

  • Strengthen our supplier vetting process.
  • Enhance awareness training for staff.
  • Regularly review and update our policies to align with best practices.
